AO1: Develop ideas through investigations, demonstrating a critical understanding of sources

This is where the project begins, through the development of ideas, but more importantly, it is about taking inspiration from artists and also developing their techniques to further develop students own work and also their skills. As teachers, it is important that we broaden our knowledge of artists to ensure work is original.
